wheel locks = worthless. you pound a 12-pt socket on it and voila its off. they even make forged bolt removers that u pound on, and throw an impact gun or socket wrench on it and it comes right off. wheel locks are only gonna stop some guy thats comin after your rims with a lug wrench, not somebody who seriously wants your rims. it doesnt matter what kind you get, they all get off. people bring their cars up to my work (belle tire) all the time cuz they fucked up their key and cant get the lock off. all we do is whip out the lock removers (which in reality are made for getting off stripped bolts), pound them on, and gun them off. piece of cake. basically, if someone wants to steal your wheels, they're going to steal them. Best bet is to get an alarm and park the car in a really visible area.

the mcgard locks are compltely smooth on the outside, theres nothing fo a socket to grip on. the only way ur getting them off is to drill a hole through it, or if you have a key.
