the link takes you to a full listing of a/v equipment, so i cant really answer. i DO have a recommendation though: lilliput moniters. they are EXTREMELY cheap, and the quality of picture is top-notch. you can find them on ebay among other places. im very satisfied w/ mine (now i just need to install it, lol).

DONT BUY A LEGACY! they are horrible, i used to have one and now it sits in my closet...i dont even want to sell it to anyone, lol.

TFT and LCD arent two different types, they are both related. LCD (liquid crystal display) is just the term for the technology being used. TFT (thin film transmission? somthing like that, lol) is an upgraded for of LCD, and makes the resolution seem better for fine details. almost every LCD now produced will be a TFT-LCD.

on a side note concernin the TFT issue, ive noticed that some autions for the cheapest-of-cheap LCDs dont mention TFT in the description, nor do they provide pictures of the moniter actually displaying anything. i would stay away from those.

So will this lilliput lcd have about the same display quality as the expensive Alpine Pioneer ones?

^^^in my opinion, yes. the alpines seem to be a BIT brighter in direct sunlight, but thats the only diffferent. the resolution and contrast is excellent.

I'll have to consider buying one of those lcds then. I have a pioneer receiver, I would need a controller box of some sort rite? To hook the lcds up and a ps2 if i wanted?

how many audio/video sources do you wish to run? and on how many moniters?

each screen has one RCA video input (there will probably be an audio input too, but i dont ever use that, its just one shitty speaker, lol). if you wanted to run the ps/2 in your car, you would need to run the video signal to the moniter, and the audio signal to the headunit. to be broadcast through the existing audio system. if the pioneer doesnt have any menas of getting an audio signal "in", you can use an fm modulator (much like you would with an add-on CD changer) to run the audio via the antenna line. somthing like this (only an example, there are more out there):

of course, you could always just run the audio to the LCD if it includes and audio-in. the sound wont be great, but it will at least be there.

if you wish to run multiple video sources, you will need a video switcher to control the outputnput of each device to the single input on the moniter.

edit: to run more than one moniter from a single output, you can use a simple y-splice cable (should only cost a few bucks), but the quality will go down slightly. if it bothers you enough, an external distribution device such as this will amplify the signal (again, only an example, there are more out there):

no, those are audio outputs. in an audio/video system there are two seperate "information lines": audio and video (lol). the outputs from the headunit will ONLY feed a signal of what is coming from that source, be it a CD or radio. any video will be a seperate "line", and will be independant of the audio signal.

what kind of setup are you trying to run? sounds like you want multiple moniters, a headunit, and a ps2. is that the case? where are the moniters to be located? that will help me set up a plan of installation for you. :thumbsup

I really havent given a whole lot of thought on how many monitors or where I would put them. I am sorta playing with the idea. I would like at least one monitor in the car. I would have the Ps2 hooked up and probably use it for the dvd player also
