Ok first off i have an alpine cda-9813.......my old cd player recently went out and ever since the new cd player was installed the sub wasnt even getting power (there is a light on the amp when its on).....or so i thought. This cd player has an mp3 player so as soon as i could i burned a cd full of mp3's and wma's. Well just the other night i was wondering why my sub wasnt working, so i hit source and switch it over to tuner.........the amp gets power and the sub starts working.........as soon as i switch it back to the cd player......the light goes off and the sub doesnt work. Is there any reason that the amp would get power when the cd player is on tuner and it doesnt when i switch to the cd player? Im really befuddled....can someone help me here please!! you have the remote turn on lead for the amp connected to the power antenna lead on the deck. Hence why it works with the tuner and not the cd player. There should be another blue wire on the back of the deck that is labled remote or something to that effect. Connect you amp turn on lead to that and everything should be okay.

^^exactly. typically, the ant. wire is a darker blue, while the remote turn-on is a lighter blue.

well if some place installed it for me shouldnt i take it back and make them fix it? This is what im thinking......i mean i COULD fix it . .. .

^^^yes, make the place that installed it fix it!!!!!!! it shouldnt take them more than 15 minutes, as its just a matter of removing the headunit and re-splicing one wire.
