So I was looking at both the install diagrams for the 790 xv and the field disturbance sensor (FDS), and I guess the FDS hooks up to the Viper's multiplex sensor imput (red, black, blue, green).

The wires for the FDS are red (power), black (ground), green (1st stage), blue (2nd stage).

THE PROBLEM is that I already have a dual stage shock sensor (shock sensor has red, black, blue, green), on the multiplex sensor imput. Can I just splice the FDS wires into the shock sensor wires?

Yes you can!

Just make sure you connect the correct wires together as, obviously, the colors may not match up.

One thing though that I've discovered installing alarms, run the extra sensor(s) to there own power/ground wires, because you will sometimes get unwanted side effects if you don't.

One last thing though. Should I hook the power wire to the battery, right? Seems like an obvious answer but just need a little clarification.

Isn't there like 2 or 3 power wires that need to be connected? I have some connected to the battery and I have others connected at the fuse box. I think as long as it gets power, it should be ok. Atleast it's working for mine.
BUT I was told not to "connect" power wires into one, I was told to run each wire to each source.
Like I said, I have no clue the reasoning behind all this, but my alarm is still working! so, good luck!

Yes, def hook up to a separate power source, it only has to be a constant power source, i usually just hook it up to the alarm's power wire. I have had issues with falsing when tapping 2 sensors into the blue/green wires off of the shock sensor. There is a better way. Find the blue wire at the main harness for the alarm. This should be a multiplexed input wire, which means it can read the short pulse from the 508D, and also read the longer full trigger pulse. If I remember right, you only need to hook up the blue wire off of the 508D motion sensor to the blue wire of the alarm. The 508D sends out both signals from the thin blue wire, so you only need to hook that one up.
