the subject basically says it all, im trying to drudge my way through an alarm setup. i figure the stock keyless entry box in the drivers rear panel has to have alot of the wires that you need to install the alarm. if anyone has the pinouts for the connectors or a diagram or might know somewhere i could find it, plz let me know. tia

Actually the "keyless entry box" is just a reciever unit that processes the stock keyless entry remote's signal, and then sends the information (if valid) to the ETACS (electronic time and alarm control system) which is located behind the interior fuse panel. When putting an aftermarket alarm in, just take out the recieving unit, you won't be tapping any wires there.

All the ETACS related wires you need can be accessed in the driverside kick panel. So you can disregard it's existence.

thats depressing. i dont know what help that i can get, i think i'm just going to need to mess around until i get it working right. right now my biggest problem is that i cant get the door trigger to be seen by my new alarm (alpine blah blah 150r), it gets set off by the wind though since i havent set the sensitivity yet. :thumbsup this alarm is not really that much of a pain in the ass but its frustrating at times :rolleyes

Check this out, it may help. As for the door locks, I have found then to be possibly a brown, and brown/white behind the glove box in a thick wire harness, can't miss it. A simple 12 volt test light is all you really need to use to test the wires. Just dont go probing any airbag wires..If you get the right door lock wires, if you probe them with a test light, it should make the locks work. Be sure you have a good ground on the test light too. The test light will send a low ground signal to the wire you probe,and should work the locks, to let you know the right wire. Same with the door triggers. Ground the test light, and probe the door trigger wire. If your're door is open when doing this, push in the door pin switch, and the test ligth should light up. Release the switch, adn the test light goes out.

Yeah definately test the wires before hooking them up. I would still recommend getting a digital multi-meter (DMM), they are like $15 from wal-mart.

i have a multi-meter, and know how to use it. dont have a testlight though, is that something i could just rig up real quick?

edit: door locks work fine, i have them hooked up behind the glove box: the brown wires.. only problem is the triggers, if the windows down and the alarm is armed, i can reach in, unlock the door, and open it all without the alarm going off. need to fix it, i think i might have configured the alarm to accept a positive signal from the triggers, but i dont know. i unplugged the alarm but now that i think about it it probably didn't reset. (the default is negative)

well i know you all were worried and concerned about my alarm install. For some reason i had a big problem with my door trigger, and in the end, i am the eternal dumbass. I figured i'd try cutting some of the wire coming from the brain to the sensor off. well i did, re-stripped it, re-connected it. guess what, it worked. so i must have pulled on it or something and broke the wire in the last foot of wire, wow.. whatta dumbass. so anyway now its working fine, except the wind/snow sets it off lol, gotta adjust the sensitivity tomorrow. Its the alpine sec-150r with dual sector radar sensor and dual stage impact sensor. I got it for like 120$, and it sounds like a bmw. thats all i care about, plus my 2k+ in stereo shit is now a little bit harder to steal. oh and it was a birthday gift too so really it was free, and it sounds like a beamer! thanks guys for all your help.

Yeah make sure you get it tuned down and your car doesn't cry wolf. Congrats installing it.
