I bought that for 30 on ebay, and for those who have an alarm, get that siren NOW. It's loud at 120 dbs. The great thing about it is if the theif cuts power to the alarm, power is interupted and the siren will go off. Only way to turn it off is to use the manual key. I hope I never have to use this, but its great to now nonetheless. Install was very easy; I have a viper 790 xv, and I attached one wire for the ground, one from the original siren's power (acts as a signal), and one to the battery. It works with other alarm systems as well. It also has its own power supply so that anytime that battery power is cut, even if the alarm is not sounding, it will go off. If you have to work on you car, just have the key handy, and switch it to off.

might i also suggest a pain generator for your interior...loud little bastards. the way i see it, is most of the time your entire car is not stolen, just parts. and when somoene breaks in, i promise you they dont wanna spend the time taking shit outta my car or disarming my system while thats going off. my goal is to make it where they dont want to/cant stay inside because the noise causes pain. becase in all actuality, not many people look anymore when an alarm goes off, so the loudest siren in the world on the outside isnt gonna do anything for u but make the neighbors give you greif about the noise. i guess the same would also apply for your entire car being jacked....makes them less willing to stay inside and hotwire the car and drive off with the siren still blaring away on the inside. BTW all of my sirens and alarm have backup batteries installed.

Are pain generators just sirens?


BTW, I also have a fuel pump switch in the cabin somewhere...

pain generators are a piezzo (sp?) siren. they are little, about 3-4" long, 2" thick, and 2" high. not big at all...so you can mount them most anywhere. they call them pain generators because it emits a VERY high pitched shrill noise constantly, unlike a reg siren which fluctuates. this thing is loud and high pitched all the time. it will give you a headache within seconds, and its definately not something that you can just get used to. and they are CHEAP like $12, i went ahead and got 2 of em. just search for the DEI "pain generator" and youll find them.

i love my pain generator inside it kick ass.. hmm i forgot where i put it now?? haha, i want to buy one of those backup car siren.. hehe i got the 790 also..
