Posted by Sigma Chi 200, Dec-30-03 08:45 AM
is that I don't have one coming from the alpine cd player to connect to my wiring harness. How did those with alpines connect for 12v memory?
thanks,
Luke

My only problem is that the writeup says nothing about a memory wire yet my deck does not retain all that it should when I cut the car off. There is no memory function so there is something I need to do with the memory wire on the harness, just can't figure out what exactly.
thanks for your help I

so you have no memory wire coming out of the alpine is taht what you are saying? There should be one. Or are you saying you have nothing to hook the memory wire from the alpine?

yeah nothing coming from the unit. Alpine also doesn't mention anything about the memory wire in their instructions or wire maps. Has anyone else installed an Alpine, and what did you do with the memory wire?
thanks,
Luke

umm you sure your HU doesn't have one? it's probably not called a memory wire. probably just 'battery' or something. on alpine's its usually yellow and the red one is for ignition controlled power.

It's not called a memory wire, it's called "12 volt". It's the thick ass yellow wire.
