i ran searches and no luck.... i am installing the infinity cd/tape deck into my dodge avenger, and 3 wires are different. i need to know what these 3 wires do... a white wire with black stripe, a black wire with yellow stripe, and a green wire with a white stripe.

as of now the unit comes on, but absolutly no sound is played over the speakers.

do i have to have the factory amp for this to work??

Im not sure exactly what the wire functions are. Im stuck at work and my book is back home so I can't look it up for ya. If you are installing an infinity system you will need the amp as well as the cable with round fittings that connects the deck to the amp. Sound is actually output down the round cable to the amp and from the amp to the speakers. That is why you are not getting any sound.

White- Left Front Speaker (Positive)
White w/Black Stripe- Left Front Speaker (Negative)

and I have no idea what the other two are. Green with a Black stripe is Left Rear Speaker (Negative) if that is what you ment.

The green and white wire is the accessory wire.
