ok ALMOST done w/an audiobahn A6004T install, but ran into a TON of bumps, and i hope this is my last one...
I was drilling the amp in the location of my third choice x( when I screwed up 2 of the rubber grommets that prevent the metal screws from touchign the casing. The amp is screwed into some metal, but I hear alot of the cases are insulated now. Do i need these grommets? Would electrical tape around the feet, then screwing back through that work? Or is there somethign that will look a bit nicer/work a bit better? I know I didn't buy an expensive amp, but those grommets suck and I can't see how much they're doing as is anyways...

"Would electrical tape around the feet, then screwing back through that work?"
yes.
even if you dont isolate the amp body in any way, the only problem you may have is ground loop noise.

oh man that sucks! trust me though, every installer has theser problems. it took me 5 hours JUSt to find a spot in which to run power wire in a 99 acura TL. it took me 7 hours to get a simple brakcet off the factory headunit in a maxima (i ended up grinding it out if the headunit, lol. SPARKS!) :thumbsup
