ok im putting in a new headunit and teh wiring harness that hooks to my car has an orange wire(says it goes to illumination) and an orange w/ white stripe(says it goes to dimmer). the wires that go to my headunit only has one orange wire with a white stripe... no solid orange. it says "to car light control switch". which do i hook this to.. the orange or orange w/ white stripe?

I would assume you need to hook it to the orange wire for illumination. You can't dim anything if it's not illuminated. ;-)

You can always just pick one, then test it before putting the center console back together.

youll want to hook it to the "illumination" one, i believe.

you dont really need to have that though, it just dims the HU display when you turn the headlights on.

i hooked the 2 orange/white stripes together since they were the same color and everything seems to do what its supposed to
