My in-dash tweeters and rear 6X9s have a little static when I first turn on my stereo. It goes away after a few minutes. But its really annoying me. Why does it do that?:shrug

Are they stock speakers? And if so just check wiring and grounds to make sure everything is connected ok.

It sounds like a ground loop problem, check the ground on the headunit and your battery.

static? hmm...well if the speakers themsleves were grounding the cone would flex, (speaker would make a funky pop sound at the spiders max travel) so check that and get back to us
probly just a ground on the headunit imo. ground the alternator better, that might fix it _________ 96 talon esi-t san clemente, ca
