i used to sell them a couple years ago. about 1/3 of them came back defective, as the buttons had "caved in" or there were other mechanical difficulties. im not sure if jvc has addressed this issue in recent models, but i havnt heard anything bad about them in the past couple of years.

on a side note, dont believe it will prevent theft in any way (if you are thinking along those lines), as any thief will recognize it. im sure you probably already know that, but jvc used that ideology to market them when they were first introduced.

yeah... i know they are still recognizable by thiefs but i still just like the way they look, even though its not really anti-theft

anyone happen to have pics of this in a 97-99?? what did you put in the space below it

JVC Kameleon head units LOL...I used to sell those at Circuit City. They're total pieces of shit. Get something that works like an Alpine or something.

well I dont have any experience with the kameleons. But like i said, i had a kd-sh99 and now have a kd-sh9750 and am extremely happy with both of them. never had a problem. buttons work great, dont fade...etc.

any thoughts on clarion? or jensen

jenson, pyramid, legacy, optima, etc..etc... are a no-no. :nono

im also not a fan of aiwa, they use the most piss-poor lasers in the world, and the LCD tends to go out on a lot of them.

clarion is one of my favorites, even the lower level stuff. ive been using my old clarion headuit and EQ for 5 years now with zero problems. they are simple to use, fairly inexpensive, great ergonomically, and reliable.:thumbsup

biggest p.o.s ive ever seen or heard. i have it installed in my girls are and wow does that thing sound like shit, and i've had to have it repaired like 3 times cause its always fucking breaking. honestly the only reason it's still in there is because she loves the dolphins on it, but it'll be gone soon
