Ok.. I tried searching, but didn't come up with anything meaningful, so figured I would post here.

A few weeks ago, during one of the hotter parts of the summer, I came out to my car and found my cd ejected. Windows were down (I left em that way) and the interior of the car was pretty cool due to GOOD (open window) ventilation.

I get in and turn the car over, no biggie, then notice the radio time says 1:00... ok, it's 3:00-ish... something's up. Turn on the radio, no sound... well, sound, but REAL diminished and scratchy (think cordless phone). I turn it off, wondering what's going on and notice that I'm STILL getting pops from the speakers in back, not LOUD mind you, but enough to be annoying as hell.

Here's where it gets wierd...

I've noticed that when it's pretty warm lately, everything seems ok.. audio quality is a bit down. When it's colder, it plays like crap. Well, it's also starting to level out where it's ok most of the time. I'm not sure of the problem, so go ahead and replace the fuses. Everything sounds good... I set the time, leave it off for a couple minutes (which usually reset to 1:00 after being off for a few seconds), turn it back on, time holds. Turn it off, notice CD won't eject when car is off (used to do that BEFORE coming out to find the CD mysteriously ejected), turn car back on, back to 1:00 again *ARGH*

Check the NEW fuses and, just like the old, they show no signs of damage or problems. Put them back in, walk into the house to grab something, come out and test again. Turn the car on, clock reads 1:03.

What the? I'm guessing, at this point, it's wiring? I dunno... ANY ideas are welcome here. And, if it is wiring, what do I do?

sounds like you may have a bad ground on the headunit...all kinds of wierd things can happen when that occurs. i would pull the HU and check all the wiring out though.

Like /\/\/\/\/\ Said Check The Ground Only Other Thing That Would Do That Is If You Had Battery Lead Connected To Auxilery Lead But If It Was Fine B4 That It Cant Be That
