It actually is plexi painted from the other side. I tried doing it just with fiberglass and I couldn't quite get it smooth enough and I was worried it would get scratched up. The box itself is made with fiberglass and MDF..the plexi is just a way a making it look nice. Also you can't really tell because the pics are crappy but the paint is color matched so it shines nice when the light hits it. I am going to try and get my new camera here shortly so I will take some better pics with that....and question: Car sounds great and everything but I still have that annoying "bouncy trunk" when my bass hits. Whats the best way to get ridda that? (if possible or reduce even) TIA!....Oh and yeah it was dirty :)

W6's are quite rare and are now discontunued. that's a 12" W7 i think. it's pretty good looking.

"I still have that annoying "bouncy trunk" when my bass hits. Whats the best way to get ridda that?"
three easy things to try:
1) wrap a piece of carpet or felt around the latch for the trunk lid (the upside-down "U" piece on the bottom) to tighten up the connection between the trunk lid and the body
2) check the liscense plate, put some dynamat or similar behind it if thats whats rattling...many people overlook that area
3) check the wiper. not much you can do here but remove it, but mine rattled like CRAZY (lifted well off the window) when i had a system in my trunk.
other then that, its the standard dynamat/foam/misc. damping procedure. its all a matter of tracking down what is vibrating and fixing it.

Will try that...
>2) check the liscense plate, put some dynamat or similar >behind it if thats whats rattling...many people overlook that >area
Its not rattling there anymore...had a plate cover and took that off because it was.
>3) check the wiper. not much you can do here but remove it, >but mine rattled like CRAZY (lifted well off the window) when >i had a system in my trunk.
No wiper to worry about :)
Yeah my major rattle it the top of the hatch bewteen the very back and the start of the hatch window.

try putting a piece of carpet or felt inbetween where the plastic panel meets the metal. i had all of the plastic pieces in the trunk done like this previously, and it worked wonders. that will work to cure interior rattles, and may work for exterior rattles as well. if not, just add some dynamat or generic product the the area.
