6774, Signal loss Posted by Renegade Retard, Jul-29-03 07:03 AM
I've pulled my head unit out, and the antennae is connected. However, I'm still getting signal loss and bad reception. The reception will go from crystal clear to static, back an forth, at random. This is extremely obvious on AM (where I listen to Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket ). The sound will go from clear to almost a complete signal loss. I have to turn my volume waaaaay up to even here it, and then it's static. Again, a few seconds later the signal comes back.
It has nothing to to do with outside interference. My other vehicles get good reception. As I said, I checked the antennea, and it's connected. Could it be a problem with the head unit? It's a stock Infinity system.

yeah, that's what I thought. It sounds good when the signal is coming in strong, but nasty when the static kicks in.
Thanks
