my buddy actually used a router to carve a groove into the top of his speaker box (subs firing directly at passenger compartment), and his rear sway bar holds the box down when tightened back on. it wasn't planned... his box was just too big to fit under the sway bar when he installed it. now that he has done this, he has fastened the box down so it won't slide, made his subs just about steal-proof, and he's made the rear of the car about twice as solid as it would have been with just the sway bar. this may not be practical/possible for you, but it's worth this paragraph to know. ;)

actually, that's not a bad idea at all...if you don't mind carving a groove into your sub box. i think i'll take a look at my box tomorrow and see if i can pull something like that off with my strut bar. good stuff!!

I had to use velcro 3" x 4' squares to hold mine don't like to bolt them down just cause its alot easier to remove the box if you at the track or just need to use more cargo space.
