Are there any other people that are big into car audio? I'm curious what setups people have and how many dB you've hit?

Currently I have two 12" JL W-0's with a shitty Kicker Impulse 402 pushing them. I put it on the meter last night for the first time and hit 137.0, better than I thought with that amp only being around 200 watts.

Next week, I am getting two more W-0's installed in a custom box with a Rockford Fosgate 501S pushing them. I cant wait to see how much that will bang.

By the way, if you arent into this kind of thing, just leave your comments out please, I dont need to be flamed.

I used to be real big in the SPL Comps. My old car had 6 12s with 3 MTX 2300X amps, batteries, caps, etc... I pulled of a 164.8 with that setup. In my Eclipse I had 4 12's hitting 158.2 and 1 15 hitting a hair over 160. I'm really not into it anymore but I can offer some advice if you need it, I started building full show cars and got out of the whole bass thing, plus I was going deaf in my right ear.

*Before the flaming starts, remember that the meter is read differently for different setups, this explains why 1 speaker was hitting harder than 4 and so on...It makes it fair.

What 4 12's did you have in the Eclipse?

Sorry about the so late reply...I've been busy. I had 4 Orion XTR Pro 12's in it, custom box and they were all housed in the trunk. I had 2 MTX 2300X amps on them to feed them juice. It was fun, but way too much for an Eclipse.

I have two 8" Cerwin Vega Vega's running off a Kenwood PS300T amp and I hit 132.5 dbs at a show last summer.

i'm about to get a fiberglass box to house 4 Audiobahn 10" flame q's and 2 Audiobahn 1600 watt 2 channel amp...wonder what that will hit???

In my old 96 grand prix, had 2 Eclipse aluminum cone 15's, running off of 2 Directed 1100D's, 2 1 Farad caps, using a box that was ported throuhg the rear deck lid. I think my best was around 152.xx DB's...I was really into DB Dragracing back a few years, but have since gone to power :) I also have slight amounts of hearing damage too..mostly a high pitch wine in my head if i am in total silence..hehe that sucks..be careful with loud bass guys!
