Alpine MRD-500 Amp (60A Fuse in Amp)
Pioneer GMX-314 Amp (25A Fuse in Amp)
Rockford Fosgate Dual Amp Wiring Kit (4 gauge power lead)
Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Capacitor
Alpine Type R 12" Sub

First Question:

Now the big question is, will our stock alternator support this kind of load? Or do I need to upgrade to a higher output altenator? I've seen people on this board running two of these MRD-500 Amps but don't know if they are still using the stock altenator.

Second Question:

From what I have read, the 4 gauge power lead is the correct wire size to use. Since I am running both of these amps off of the same power lead, I should have an inline fuse of at least 85 amps, correct?

The Wiring kit came with an AGU fuse of 60 amps which is too small for my setup. I also noticed that the highest AGU fuse is 80 amps. Would an 80 amp AGU fuse work or should I go to the next type of fuse holder which is ANL and get a 100 amp ANL fuse?

I would assume that I would be okay with an 80 amp AGU fuse as I probably won't ever take my system to the Maximum volume and would have less draw from the battery (may be wrong with the logic here).

exactly, you should be fine with the 80 amp fuse. also, kudos for capitolizing the word "Maximum", LOL. unless you are playing sine waves a t full blast, you have almost zero chance of drawing THAT much current through the wiring.

also, your stock alt. should be fine for this setup. you might notice a bit of headlight dimming at stoplights, but nothing too bad. unless your idle starts to dip, youll be fine.

I figure my system will be plently loud and have plenty of power at even half volume.

I also read a previous post for a High Output altenator from www.4alterstart.com for 200 bucks. If I notice some power difficulties, I'll upgrade the altenator.

Btw, I didn't even realize that I capitalized the word maximum when I wrote the first post :P.

hmm.. I guess I turned up my system 2 loud then.. I busted a 80amp fuse connected to my system using 0 gauge wires. Now I got a 150amp fuse and it cranks like a beast~!!:thumbsup :P }(
