I did the same thing a few months back. There's supposed to be a special bracket that you can get, but I have no idea where to find one. I need one to so if you find it, let me know. For now I just bought two 6x9 boxes and put them in the hatch mounted to the back of the seats. It sounds pretty good, and it only took up about 6 inches of hatch room. The boxes were like $20 each from Wal-Mart. Good luck.

I use Eclipse brand 3-way 6x9's in the rear plastic pods, and they sound excellent as the pods make for a nice small enclosure for the woofer. Just take a dremel and cut the round hole into an oval shape until the speaker's basket clears and mounts into the pod. You shouldn't have a problem with the magnet hit the metal behind the pod, but don't hold me to it as some speakers will need more mounting depth than others. As I said earlier, mine fit without any problems and sound spectacular. Let me know how it goes for you.

I did the same thing and the magnet hit the wheel well. I banged it with a hammer until the speaker would go in without any problem.

The GST's came with 6X9's in the back - how are they set up?? Anyone know where you can get the brackets the GST's use?

Jeez, just cut yours out. They're the same as the GS/GST with the infinity sound system. If your magnet hits the back either beat it with a hammer or get an extra sheet of ABS and cut out a spacer. It's not that hard guys :)

Chill out man. Most of us here know that you can cut out the brackets to fit 6x9's. The only reason I'm asking is b/c I already cut mine up pretty good for my current speakers and I want to change them again but I don't I think I can reuse them now ... so I need new brackets. I'll check satan and let you all know what the GST 6x9 brackets go for.
