I was looking to maybe DynaMat my car this weekend but I was searching eBay and ran across something called FatMat, it sounds good and I think I'm going to order it. Anyone heard of it? Check it out at FatMat.com.

ive heard of good results with all of the generic stuff (brown bread, raammat, fatmat, etc..) in all instances except where the mat must be applied to a 90 degree incline) or more acute angle. the major difference between the barands is the type of glue, and in my experience the stinger stuff held up best (forgot the name of the actual product, its made by stinger). if you are just planning to do your floor or firewall, anyhting will do. if you want to do your doors, trunk lid, or anything where gravity will work against you, i would STRONGLY suggest you invest in an 88 cent gallon of rubbing alcohol to clean the surface before applying, and then use a heat gun and a small roller to really push the mat onto the surface and in all the crevaces. i remember rolling my window up one extremely hot day last summer and having a huge chunk of dynamat come up attached to it...not good. :P

The best product I've found is the Silencer from Tsunami. I've used Dynamat, both extreme and regular, and then I tried this product. The Tsunami product sticks better and is thinner. That makes it easier to apply, but it has better sound deadening properties in my opinion.

I lined my whole car in FatMat. I am very happy with the results. It was easy to install also. Stuck to all the surfaces really well.

IMO fatmat is Dynomat without the logo. I have both in my car and to me they are just the same

i used fatmat as well. It doesnt cost much at all but it works really well and its sticks to anything once you put it on make sure thats were its staying cause its a bitch to get off. i even put it on when my garage was like 40 degrees they say not to install under 50 but i had no problems with it sticking.
