I was just wondering if anyone knew if there were any new alpine type Rs coming out this year. I heard that they were. I bought sum type r 12s from circuit city, and my friend talked me into buyin an extended warrenty so when the new ones come out i can just bust mine and get them replaced for free with those new ones comin out, but I was just wondeirnf if anyone here knew when they were comin out.

i dont know for sure, but remember that newer isnt always better. the older diamond hex component sets come to mind, as do the old school KEF KAR speakers... damn those were nice...

I don't think there are new Type-R components....They did add type-Z speakers now though to compliment thier F1-Status products. I am still very impressed with the Type-X components. If yuo ever get a chance to listen to the Rs and Xs next to each other you will be amazed with the quality of sound from the X speakers.

Yea, the old Rockford Fosgate amps used to be the shit, now they are just shitty.
