Alright, so I got myself a sweet pair of Pioneer Premier 6x9 speakers, and when I got home from work I took off the panel on the passenger side to see what I needed to do to fit them in...well, when I went to put the panel back on, a couple of the damn fasteners snapped and one of the holders got pushed through the hole into the inside of the car.

Have I fucked things up beyond repair, or can I fix this kind of thing? It doesn't seem that big, but I could use some input.

Im trying to think of what you are talking about but if im thinking right then some can be superglued back together or if its the little pin things ( same as door panel) you can get them at hardware stores ... but those panels are screwes in and if you havent busted all the clips then you should be fine with a couple broken.

So what exactly did you take off? Was it the passenger door panel? or the passenger side rear quarter panel?

Can someone move this back to the Interior/Exterior section? My problem involved repairing my rear passenger 1/4 panel on the interior, not the speakers I got. Those are just fine and I don't need any help there, thanks ;)

I figured more people in audio would know about removing and putting back the panels relating to speaker installations. Sorry, I can't move it back since I'm not an audio forum mod, but if an audio mod wants to move it, that's fine...

ok..i think i know what you are talking about...

theres the little clips on the panel, right? and then theres little "clip holders" on the sheetmetal that the clips slide into. so you pushed it on the wrong way and pushed one of the "clip holders" through the metal and into the caverns of the car...is that correct? its been a while since i removed those panels, so im not sure if that is correct or not.

if that is indeed correct...you might have trouble locating a replacment part because they are such a specific thing. im sure you could order a few through the parts department at the dealership though. it might cost a little more than youd expect, but thats the only solution i can think of.

or you could attach somthing sticky on the end of a coat hanger and go "fishing" for the lost piece. ;)
