4943, Electrical/mechanical moice being bled into sub signal, possible sources? Posted by Michael_97RS, Dec-29-02 04:42 AM
In my Neon when I switch songs and do other things with my CD player I get signal noise being played through my subs, as low level noise.
Give me some posiible fixes or sources of the bleed over...

make sure one side of your car has the wires for signals going down it and the other has the power cable ONLY..also check your ground that worked for me

im going to say bad gound on the headunit. even running the power and signal wires right next to each other wouldnt cause that kind of noise.

Yeah nothing with the engine bleeding through. It's a low bass noice when changing tracks and loading CD's. Any other ideas? Fire away.
Good idea on the ground, this is the one stereo I didn't install. It was installed at the body shop when my previous stereo was stollen. Time to check their wiring on my harnass. Thanks.

ya, if you had the aftermarket HU installed by someone else, they may not have realized that the stock harness does not have a ground wire in it...you have to ground the aftermarket HU on your own. there are several locations inside the dash to ground it though.
