this is for my moms car, im either going with the viper 300 something, or the clifforddd, i forgot the model if the clff, but its like around 200-300 i think its sorta new? name the models and i will remember. but yah dont need anything really high tech, and i would lieke your input

well if you are looking at brand new Vipers or Cliffords, both are really the same exact alarm, as both are made by DEI. Its all the same wiring, and internal circuit boards, just differnt looks to the remotes. These are all made by DEI: Viper, Python, Avital, Clifford, Hornet, Valet, Responder, Sidewinder, Rattler, Automate and a few others i cant think of right now...Stick with DEI stuff though...

hey dude, i knew you would answer back. i heard the vipers remotes are not at good at the cliff remote as far as how much abuse it can handle? is this true?.... this does not related to the post, but would you know how i have to wires up my turbo timer to my alarm so that i can arm my car while it cools down? right now i have to wait for the tt to shut down before i can arm it. and also my greddy tt is wired directly, i dont have the harness.

hey guys, well my mom got a new camry and it has a keyless entry system, so it arms the car, and disarm it. plus it can open the trunk and has a panic button. pretty cool, but can i add a alarm system ( viper or clifford) with this keyless entry system? or must i disable the keyless entry system?..

You should be able to add an alarm system, but if the car already has one on it?? The only thing it may not have is a shock sensor, but before spending the money on an aftermarket alarm, be sure you reallyt need it. Most factory alarms will go off if any door is opened, and maybe the trunk or hood too. On some cars, you can use an aftermarket shock sensor wired up to the stock one...but never done that before...
But if you want the alarm with keyless, you wont have to disable anyting.

Never really had any issues with remotes. Most of the problems i have seen have been from people abusing them too much, dropping them ect...Both of those remotes are pretty much the same thing.

If you dont have the TT harness, then I dont really know. Basically what you have to do is when the TT is activated, you need to interupt the ignition input going to the alarm, so it can arm. You also may have to interupt the shock sensor power so that doesnt go off either when the car is running. Most TT from what i know, have a wire or two on its harness that can activate relays to do this.

well with my moms camry with the keyless entry, i tried to arm the car from the inside and open the door while its arm, but the alarm or whatever does not go off. and i tried to also start the car with this keyless entry and the car starts. thats all.. so i think i need to add a aftermarket alarm to it then?.. i think i might go with the viper since its $50 bucks cheaper then cliff, im getting the viper 300*** installed for 200. not bad.
oh yah on the turbo timer issue now, so say i get the greddy tt harness, then what would i have to exact have to buy or do so that i can arm my car while its cooling down? or what do i have to tell my friend at the shop?.. i have a shock sensor and tilt sensor, and motion sensor.
