Ok, heres my dilemma. I have 1 12" audiobahn AlumQ12 woofer. I have had it hit really nice over the past few weeks. But lately, I cant even listen to a song without it rattling or somethingwhen the bass hits. But heres the thing, it only does it SOMETIMES! Soetimes it will hit really good, but others, NOPE! I need help soon!! Someone, save my system!!!

Well could be a panel or something rattling somewhere. I say this cause you said it only happens sometimes, which to me means only on certain bass frequencies. It *could* be that you have a damaged voice coil in the sub too. Gently push down on the sub's cone with your hand, and see if you can hear any kind of scratching noise..be careful with the aluminum cone...

do you have any metal pieces near your amp?

that did the same thing to my amp/sub. I had a screwdriver near the wire terminals near the amp and it kept rattling or crapping out on me when the bass hit sometimes. It would do it when the screwdriver slid near the amp.

take the sub out of the enclosure and check the area where the spider meets the basket (in lay terms: where the orange accordian thing right behind the cone is glued to the frame). older audiobahn subs are notorious for bad glue in this area, although ive never heard of it on the alum ones. the solution is to go to home depot or whereve and get a couple of small c-clamps or similar and clamp the metal edge of the spidar to the basket. one of my audiobahns is like that right now. ;)

try checkin your box for leaks too. its not very likely, but may want to check if your sure it isnt your voice coil.
