I have the Python 650 ESP alarm, it was bought earlier this year. I am wanting my alarm a little more sensitive, are there additional shock sensors I can add on? I think all it has is the onboard shock sensor and it isn't enough. I can rock the car back and forth, jack up the front and/or rear end, and wash the car with a pressure washer without the damn alarm going off. (BTW, I do have the sensitivity turned all the way up)

The other thing I can do if it would help would be to move the "brain". Right now its under the dash, is there a better place to have it so it will feel shock more? Thanks for the help.

I never liked the onboard shock sensors of the DEI systems, I actually install quite a few of them. As with all shock sensors, it needs to be mounted to a strong, permanant location, like a metal support, or steering colum, or anything solid that doesnt move, like a wire harness. My guess is that your alarm brain isnt mounted securly to something solid. Try that. I almost always have to turn down DEI's shock sensors because they are so sensitive. You want to keep the alarm brain hidden as good as possible also, so try putting it in the center console. Lots of room in there, and hard to get at quickly. You may have engough room there to actually screw it down to the car's floor. That would work well. The alarm *should* have an extra port on the side of it for an addition sensor. You can get the external shock sensor on there, but i would turn down the onboard one if thats what you do. The extra prort is great for hooking up the motion sensor.

well i have the ICD valiant alarm, different but most alarms are the same. did you not have a seperate little sensor that plugged into your brain?? mine did and i have to turn mine down very low because anything will set it off, rain, washing, alot of things. im sure you can add more of them. i didnt mount mine to the sterring column (the sensor). your not gonnag get enough vibration there. its gonna take something like a sledge to set that thing off! i mounted mine right onto my body, there by the drivers side kick panel. motion sensors are also great :7

I tried to get them to install a motion sensor but they said I didn't need it unless I had a convertible or left my windows down a lot. I am going to move the brain this week, and if that doesn't help I'll start adding sensors. They did a crappy job on their install so its no wonder why the damn thing doesn't work right. You shoud see the rats nest of wires I have under my dash!

And there was no outboard sensor with this alarm. The next step up had one but they said the onboard was enough...
