Posted by GShocka04, Nov-17-02 07:46 AM
i know that clifford is a good car alarm but i was wondering what the cost for it would be around. im looking to spend maybe up to 400 or 500 for a good car alarm.

do you plan to install it yourself? if so, 4-500 is going to get you a LOT (paging, remote start, backup battery, extra siren, glass break sensors, etc..etc..). if you plan on having installed for you, that will eat up a bit of your budget, so you might not get ALL the features, but youll still get somthing very nice. i recommend you go around to the install shops in your area (and even CC, best buy, etc.) to get an idea of what features you want and can afford. i personally am a fan of the DEI alarms, but all the major brands are similar in quiality and support.

Heh....check your receipt there pall, Circuit City doesn't install for free :) We include the installation price in what you see on the wall. I'm getting a Viper 790 (the one with the interactive LCD remote) for my car. Granted I'll get it cheap since I work there, but you can get it installed with a backup battery for less than $500 I think. And it will lock your doors, do your windows, sunroof if you have it, bla bla bla...it's a nice alarm.

Dude, clifford sucks, I used to install those things and they are a pain in the ass and don't work as well as DEI (Viper, Rattler, Hornet, etc)...Get a viper, you'll be happier. But don't get the one that talks cause that's just ghey
