I need dash tweeters bad. I would like to know if the RS was pre-wired for the tweeters, or if i have to wire them myself

I did a search and this was mentioned a couple of times, but most of them came back as "i dunno ill check tommorow or as soon as i can."

to be honest, i dont have an RS, not have i ever examined one to answer this question...but...it seems to me like it would cost less to manufacture one wiring harness for the stereo instead of two, so i bet its already pre-wired. pop off the covers on the dash and look in there and check it out. if you see a little harness in there with two wires going to it (dont know colors off hand), thats the ticket.

kinda along the same lines so here goes.....what's the other connection there for?...if you've pulled out the dash speaker you've probly seen the connector i'm talking about.

good question!?!?!? i just went out and looked and theres a fairly large harness in there not connected to anything. hmmmm... im going to be taking my dash off soon, i might try to trace it back and find out what it is.

Is the tweeter the speaker that is on the dash? It looks to be fairly small. I just got the car, so I havent had a chance to look around, but I thought that was it.

yup, thats the tweeter. if you want to add an aftermarket tweet up there, do like 90% of the other 2gnters do and buy a hole saw that fits the aftermarket unit, then hollow that POS out.

I have a 95 rs and it came with dash speakers, weird shit
