I'm installing a CHEAP ASS alarm and it says to attach the red wire to the constant +12 "courtesey light?" in the fuse box. First of all there is nothing labeled "courtesey light" in either my engine bay fuse box or my driver side interior fuse box. Next even if I knew where it was I wouldn't know how to conect a single wire to a FUSE???!!!!! Can someone help me out -WILL

Look for a circuit labeled "door light" or "entry light"... and to connect the wire, simply strip about 1/2" or so, fold it over one blade of the fuse, and reinsert the fuse into the block.

hmm...if it says it needs a 12v+ constant power source, you can hook it up to anything that satisfies that requirment (or just straight to the battery); it doesnt have to be any light or anything. if its the wire thats supposed to sense when the door is opened, wire it to the light in the drivers side kickpanel. go to www.bulldogsecurity.com for wire codes and locations.

also, when tapping into a circuit, its usually not a good practice to wrape the wire around the fuse. it will almost definatly slip off at some point. the esiest way is to buy a snap on connector (kind of like a t-tap) that has a femal connector on it. you then crimp a male connector on the wire youre trying to connect and attach them. also remember to tap the wire AFTER the fuse (assuming the wire is positivly charged), otherwise you have a big fire hazard.

True, for a permanent install... I thought he was just trying to make it work, and *then* clean it up. :)
