im looking into buying a single sub. I have found a good deal on a single 10 inch eclipse sub. does anyone have eclipse subs and do you think this will create enough bass. Im looking for overall sound quallity and i also would like it to thump occasionally.

I'm not too familiar with Eclipse, but I hear they make pretty good stuff.

A 10 should give you exactly what you want. Enough bass to fillit up and it will drop a little bit when you want it to. You will get a tighter bass response than with a 12. But with a 12 you'll get deeper lower bass.

I prefer the sound of a 10 inch woofer personally. I have 3 10's in my trunk.

I have an Eclipse aluminum cone 15" sub, and it pounds pretty good. Feed em lots of power, as they are very power hungry. For a 10" sub, if its the aluminum cone or the titanium cone series, give them at least 500 RMS watts. I'm putting over 1500 watts to my 15, and it still wants more..

I have a 15" Eclipse and I'm running about 1200 watts RMS to it (I think).. I know it can take more but it's loud enough. I bought it from ^^^ and it's still the best deal I got with my car.. haha. Thanks again man.
