i have the DEH-P6000 Does someone know about the Equalizer Curve fine adjustment, like what adjustments affects what? like you can adjust the center frequency of each equalizer curve band(low/med/high)and the Q factor (curve characteristic). thanks for any help!

Ya I'd like to know too. What is this Q factor, and the Pioneer lets you adjust like N and E etc. It's weird...

the center frequency: is basically the frequency you're boosting/cutting. you can set that to properly compliment the frequency response of your speakers and your car.
the "Q" is basically the "width" of the frequency boosted. if you lower the Q, you let the frequency (boosted) curve to "spread out" and cover a larger range of frequencies around it, where as if you raise the relative Q, you limit the (boosted/cut) frequencies to just a narrow band above and below the selected center frequency.

this is really tough to explain without graphs, but I hope you understand....

Ok thanks, I get it conceptually...but does this setting influence my subs? For the sub out, I can set the frequency to 50, 80, or 120 hz and you can boost the level near that frequency. I use 80 hz right now.

Will the other center frequency and Q factor settings affect my subs? Also, what do the letters mean? I remember one of the settings had letters like N and W or E...can't remember exactly...

I got it, thanks... the N stands for narrow and the W stands for Wide as for norrowing or widening the band for highs, mids and low..
