3655, Here's today's project.....

Well I was getting tired of a box sitting in the middle of my trunk so I decided to try my first fiberglass box. Here are the results. I made it about 1/2 inch too high so I had to dado out a place for my strut tower bar to fit. Then I just added some bracing to the top from the inside.

Tell me what you think...oh yeah I am probably going to paint the trunk area black thats why I chose that carpet.

Yeah I am running 2 10s.... It would probably work with 12s. You would just need to bring it out a couple more inches to get the volume right probably but it would work.

I used about 5 layers total and a gallon of resin.... Its really firm and has little to no flex. I then coated both sides of it with undercaoting/sound dampener.

ok, this is just my ignorance showing but why did you use glass at all? I mean you have a sealed mdf box, with glass on the inside. Why you do dat fo? :)

Cause the box was open ended. It wasn't a sealed box, the bottom was cut out to fit in that area and he fiberglassed the bottom end to seal it all up.
