3120, i though this coil was 4 ohms? Posted by Blmet, Jul-01-02 06:37 AM
I got 2 used jl 12w3-d4 from my friend which are suppose to be 4 ohm dvc. anyways i used my multimeter on them and this is what i got:
each coil: 4.8-4.9 ohms each sub in parallel: 2.8 ohms both subs, all in parallel: 1.9 ohms
does this mean any thing? or is it normal for them to be off alittle, cause 1 ohm means alot to amps.
knowing this, can i go and get a 2 ohm stable amp and hook all up in parallel or should i still get a 1 ohm stable?

you're probably reading Resistance (not impedence), resistance varies
