My box is way to diamn big! I feel like it slows me down so much, lol. Well I want to get rid of the box and the subs...so what kinda sub(s) should I look at that bangs 2x as hard and takes up less space? Are those square kickers good? Would 2 8s square kickers be fine? or like one big 15" Eclipse sub? I just want something thats not so big...I probably will get it built inside the floor of the hatch...so what should I get?

My Bazooka RS10 bangs hard. It's a 10" sub with a built in amp. It's round and doesn't take up much space. I bought the bazooka because it was small. When I got it I was blown away by the sound. It is also reasonably priced, about $260 (dealznet.com but look around) It won't sound as good as what you have now but if you're concerd with space, consider it. They also have non powerd tubes if you want to use the amps you already have.

If you plan on hitting hight db, the woffers will weight alot, the box is what killing you. Last night I when on google.com and looked up fiberglass boxes and if you do ur homework you could do it and shave off 50 lbs

look for subs that have small enclosure needs.. boston acoustics have real small needs and sound really good, Image dynamics are good for that too.. if you want really loud sound and a small enclosure and have money to spend, look into getting a JL W7 (the new one) or IDMAX.. they require like 1000 watts or something like that.. but since its only one sub i think the enclosure wouldn't have to be as big.. you could also try to find some subs that sound good in free air, but i don't know if there are many if any..

i think the w7 weighs around 80 lbs! the idMax ain't light either, i would go with an idq12 from image dynamics

edit: didn't notice the 2x as hard part, maybe an idq15 or idq12 ported, but ported would mean more airspace

Hey how much would you charge for a fiberglass box?? I have this sub and amp just laying around here, would be nice to have some bumps. Its just for one ten inch sub by the way.
