how soon are you lookin to get them? I know a guy down where I goto school who should still have a pair in light grey. I think he wanted like 100 bucks for em. if you can wait, let me know and I'll make an effort to get a hold of him once I go back.

You can try www.mmxpress.com. I got my kick panels for my old 86 GP for $150. Crutchfield has them, but for $200.

Underdog, I'd like to see a set of these $130 "custom" kicks. Any shop you goto will charge you a minimum of 300-400 for a custom fiberglass set. I wouldn't charge a cent less than 250 for a set like mine. I spent at least 10 hours just getting them to image right....

LAST EDITED ON 29-Jul-01 AT 04:19 PM (PST)I spent a comparable amount of time setting up my front end last year when I built my car. I am a certified Iasca judge and work as an installer. If you wish to look at my car please go here http://car_audio_guy.tripod.com/Terry/Pictures or here is an older system, These kicks were not built off the panel are were a little larger. But hey it worked It finished 5th at 2000 World Finals in Nov 1-150 http://car_audio_guy.tripod.com/Julie/finished.html
These Panels are built off of replacement factory pieces and are a baffle NOT a sealed enclosure. I recommend filling the area behind the panels with fibrefill.
Also I have a feedback thread from the ASOG board here http://pub11.ezboard.com/fasog75673audiodiscussion.showMessage?topicID=819.topic

I stand corrected....
if you're making ones like in the picture for 130 shipped, then just about everyone who doesn't already have a set should jump on that offer.... I'd take those over a set of qforms any day....
couple other ?s for you....
is your headunit bezel black vinyl or abs? and how do you like the Nak? does the amber lighting match our factory lights?

*L* Thanks, I actually expected some people to doubt the offer, but hey :)
My Radio bezel is actually fibreglass, I built up the factory panel the flush trim the Nak 45Z, Then I spray textured it to match the dash. I love the Nak its an AWESOME sounding piece and yes the amber lighting matches perfect.
A little more about the kick panels, I build them at night after work so a set will usually take me a week to build, and because I do't have your speakers in my posession I cannot gaurantee an accurate sound stage, but they are however usually very close.
I am tied up for the next two weeks building a Competition car so anytime after that I'm free. Please email me if your interested and we'll work something out.

I use a 4 way stretch black vinyl to do all my work, I can usually dye it any color when I am done.. Light grey in my car.
I haven't done a set of tan yet but would be able to. All I would need is a sample of your interior color to get the right dye. I will be starting to build kicks again on August 14th. Thats when this Car I'm working on should be done.
Thanks for the interest guys. :)

yes I could seal it and probably get approx that airspace but I'd have to sit back and think about the price as the sealed enclosures are Alot more work.

you could use one of those xtc foam baffles to sorta seal them or you can just use them as your mold and 'glass over them

Well I'm not sure how custom you want for an insert, email me and we can hash out a price.
As for sealing them, I've got great results with fibrefill and Foam to fill the gaps... but since Mark Eldridge gave me shizit at the Kicker tweak and tune, at Iasca finals last year I've wanted to build a full sealed set.
