I have no idea how to fix my cd changer. Its a 10 disc Kenwood changer that I have in the back of the trunk. I was just using it before the problem happened. The changer won't eject the cartridge for the cd's. All I hear is a sick whining whirring sound. Not sure why it happened. Must have been because I spilled half a gallon of water in the trunk and the moisture inside the trunk screwed it up. Now I have no tools and no experience with this thing. I went to car audio stores here and they're charging me pretty steep just to have it removed to see what is wrong with it. It would also even cost more if they fixed it. Around 160 bucks. Then there's Al and Ed's who's offering me a Kenwood 10 cd changer for 210. Plus 50 for installation. Now I don't wanna spend that much, so hopefully I won't have to decide on either thing. Was hoping any of you Cali guys out there could lend me a hand, sorta. Either I could borrow your tools or you could do it for me. :-) I guess I could pay you a small fee for your troubles. Or we could keep it "gratis", for the sake of 2GNT camaraderie. Hehehe... :-)

Sorry I would have no idea how to fix it really, but "if" its relatively old and you don't think it will last much longer anyway, you might as well get another kenwood for as low as 150 to 175 at smaller audio shops. I've never installed a changer before, but could try to help you out, or one of the workers at the body shop would probably do it for 20 bucks at most...

Hey, thanks for the offer! Yeah, I guess if the changer were that old, might as well buy a new one. I just recently bought the car 2nd hand and the changer came with it. Might be a good 2-3 yrs old already. Guess I'll have to spend again 200 more for the changer. Nooooo...I can't save up for my performance goodies...Dammit. Might have to look around for a cheaper changer though. I need music!!!...
