sorry for the simple question...but i just purchased a used Lightning Audio 12" sub thats rated at 200 RMS. i think it is 4ohms (ohms=the horseshoe right? i know i sound stupid so dont laugh too hard). the guy i bought it from had a 5 channel amp for all his speakers so he didnt know what it should be run at. so lemme know some inexpensive amps that will get the job done. thanks
(P.S. is it worth it to buy a $60 Qlogic box or should i build one myself.)

Well basically find an amp that matches the rms power ratings, and you will be fine. If money is tight, and you have no box building options, then go the prefab box route. If you want a better built, better sounding box, then def build one, or have one built for you. Either way you go, be sure to have the proper airspace in the box that the sub is designed for. If not the right amount, it will not sound good or up to its potential.

hehe i have 2 lighting subs 15" and a lightingaudio amp ... works great

Try a lightning amp or USAcoustics which make some decent amps bang for the buck wise.
