I know how to install but i have some extra wires, lol. Illumination -were does this go, It works fine and lights up fine without it, guessing its like a dimmer but how? And mute, Guess is some kind of extra cd player thing or something but idk maybe u know.

illumination is usually tied into the dimmer. That way when you turn your lights on at night the radio unit will automatically dim a little so the display isn't so bright at night.

Mute is an extra and usually not used. It's intended for applications such as a hands free cellular phone base or something similar. It would get connected from the radio to the phone base so when you get a call it would automatically trigger the mute function on your radio.

cool do u know what wire to hook into the dimmer. I mean what wire of the dimmer switch to hook up to the illumination. Also does it do this like the factory wire even when mem and +batt are hooked up?
