12942, I dont want my alarm! Removal ?'s
Posted by ScreaminE, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Well my GS-T came with a Python alarm installed and this thing is garbage. The only good thing about it is that it has keyless entry but it also unlocks the doors whenever the turbo timer shuts off.

Does anyone have any idea on how I would go about taking this out?

I must admit I dont know anything about alarms.

Taking out the alarm is fairly easy. Just need to locate the alarm brain and start tracing the wires from there and disconnecting everything. (Depending on whom did the install, the splices can either be soldered or just simple quick connect splices)

You will have to reconnect the starter wire, this wire gets cut during the install with both ends going to the alarm brain. (most common place the wire gets cut is in the steering column wire bundle)
