Hey there everyone,
Well I just wanted to share this bit of info with all of you. Maybe I'm the only one that was bothered by the fixed antenna that came with most RS model 2G but maybe there are others. I looked into the power antenna swap and just didn't feel like having to run the wire for it, so I debated on getting a short stubby style one from Ebay.

I just happpened to find out that the fixed antenna from a 2007 Eclipse fit our vehicles and just wanted to let everyone know that. It's a lot shorter and is OEM so that might be an option for those looking for a shorter style antenna.

I seem to get the same good reception as before so don't worry about whether or not that's an issue. Hope this helps anyone with their choice of antenna.

good to know, I need a new mast myself, I was thinking about one of those windshield mounted amplified antennas and shaving the exterior one

Whats the retail on that:) I have a power antenna and its rusty, it squeeks everytime I turn my headunit on, very annoying sounds freddy scratchin.

See alot of 07 DSM's in my area, the antennas nice looking

Well the thing is, I already have an RS which didn't have a power antenna to begin with. So all I did was just pull one off a 07 Eclipse (I work at a repo yard and the car was surrendered to us) and screwed it on. So wouldn't know how to change from a power antenna to a manual one. I think all you need is to change the mast out
