Can anybody tell me the easiest place to come through the firewall. Also any other mods on my hot wires for safety or convienence. I have a feeling I'll be changing setups often. What guage wire should I run for rockford 1000 watt amp? Will I need alternate power source?

Well the easiest place to get through the firewall is under the passenger side dash. There is a large grommet with a wire harness there, just go though that. I have mine going through right between my brake master cylinder adn my clutch master, but its VERY tight clearence there. You must be very careful if drilling there if you have a manual trans(clutch master cylinder is there). For your amp i would suggest 4 guage wire, no smaller to be safe. Fuse that wire no more than 12-14 inches from the battery, with a proper size fuse. Remember, this fuse protects the wire, not the amp, in case the wire shorts to the body of the car..

I ran my wire out through my fender and into the cabin underneath the carpet to the back. Its really simple as soon as you remove the fender because you drill a small hole in a rubber cork thing and slip your wire through and its inside your cabin. There are also a couple of good places to screw your fuse into.

I ran my 4 gauge wire through my steering column boot. However, it's a paine in the a$$ because I had to get under the car to pull it through and feed it up behind the engine.
