Just today i finalized the installation of my sub woofers, got my box done, bought the wiring kit, and installed it all, fired the car up, ran like a champ. I went into denny's and upon return to my car, trying to start it the first time it just went dead, second time it fired up but the RPM dropped right away and slowly rose. The amplifier has a remote switch, it doesnt turn on unless of course the cd player is on, the cd player had been off obviously the entire time i was in denny's and the lights on the amp were turned off. I guess the real test will be tommorow when i try to go start my car after it sitting overnight, if its drawing power, i dont know what ill do.

Any suggestions? or just wanna wait til after i check it tommorow... also does it sound like it could be related to anything else, im comming up on an oil change pretty soon here, i just hit 80k miles. its a '98

Doesnt sound like a dead battery issue to me. once the car turns over your rpms would have nothing to do with the battery being dead or badly charged as the car would run on the alternater if battery was removed. (but not a good idea) If your alternater was bad it would affect your cars performance as far as rough idle, rpms dropping and even car stalling but you would be getting lights. If you have something drawing power while the car is off than your tapped into the wrong power sources, best way to check is to go bac to all your power wires you ran and test the sources with the car on and off. make sure each wire is doing what it should. Depending on your set up your only talkin like 3 or 4 wires? also make sure your grounded where you should be. Our stock electrical system even with an udp is a monster. It can handle alot.
