10996, Headlight Problem after radio removal in talon!

Hi, i recently purchased an eagle talon. When i purchased the car the previous owner removed the radio and the headlights stopped fuctioning. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem?

Fuse is good and bulbs look fine as well.

was it replaced or something? our cars do really weird shit when the radio is grounded. all the other accessories (including headlights) get messed up pretty bad. there might be some incomplete circuit or something.

well i dont have a radio yet since he had a really nice system, he pulled it out right before selling it.

would getting a radio in there fix it, or is it something else? The fuse and the relay work fine and the bulbs are good.

i'm not too sure but it might work. in my case when i had the radio fully hooked up but not mounted it caused a whole lot of problems. the stock radio grounds through the chasis of the car. if it's not mounted to the metal bracket then the radio is not being grounded. when this happens a lot of the interconnected circuits in the car get really screwy. among those was the lighting system. i would imagine that having nothing connected would be similar to having the radio connected but not grounded... i could be wrong though. i don't really want to do a full on analysis of the entire electrical system right now :P

well thanks for the input, i suppose it has something to do with the radio not grounding but i have found 2 exposed black wires and tried to touch them to the ground in the car and nothing with my headlights. The only thing i can think of is the circut not completing through the harness.
