Alright heres the deal i was puttin in my new carpet and my bro starts trimming away on the drivers side and then my radio cuts out. I go over and take a look and he shanked my black wire that comes from the head unit i assume and now my shit wont work. Now i told a story to ask this...what kinda wire do i need to make my shiznit to work. Thnx homies :thumbsup

Sounds like you snipped the ground wire. Just solder them 2 back together. If not replace it.

went down to the car and it was dead jumped it and the radio works now.....now im worry what i cut cuz everything works, ill take a pic and post tomorrow, i hate these situations that make me sound like a BANME!

Its the ground wire.. And ironically sometimes the headunit will work when not grounded. Maybe it grounds itself somehow, but yea.. fix the ground wire.

THe stock radio uses the antenna as a natural ground. And 99% of aftermarket radios will also ground themselves through the antenna as well, they won't work as well and put out the correct power levels, but they will work to an extent.

indeed as did i cuz it is the freaking antenna. what a load! were might i pick up another one up from? its cut in half cuz dipshit thought he was an electrician before i could determine what wire it was it was cut.
