I've recieved a 12in. Polk sub from my buddy for free (gotta love friends) the problem is that on the edge of the cone it looks like he nicked it with a drill or something. It's not bad, the cone is plenty thick and the rubber surround isn't torn but in that area the adhesive connecting the cone to the surround has given out. It's a small area, about 1/4in long, but the surround isn't connected to the cone and I'd like to glue this back together before I install it in my car. Now my question is, what kind of adhesive do factories use to glue a rubber surround to a poly cone? Where would I get it? I've searched and this didn't seem to pop up in any topics previously discussed, so Im not being lazy.

The glue that they use can only be bought in a container larger than a pint. Ours is in a 3 gal drum, hehe. i would suggest some simple super glue if its on a stiff surface with a small amount of silicone sealer on the bottom side, if its on a moving surface such as the rubber surround etc always use something flexible such as silicone.
