10302, Replacing Plexiglass for Subwoofer? Posted by JohnD8199, Jan-16-05 01:46 PM
Somebody gave me a bandpass sub box but its missing the plexiglass window. the base is kinda weak without it. Is there somewhere I can get a replacement? How hard is it to cut plexiglass?

Bandpass boxes are ported to the point they act as free floating without the plexiglass, which can easily damage the subs. Plexiglass cuts as any other plastic. I would bandsaw a peice that you need (or use jigsaw if you don't have access to one).

i used to cut plexiglass at ace hardware. they can cut it to a specific dimension with a plexiglass/glass cutter or by using a glass scribe. meaure what you need, and bring it to the store
