#7356, "ZEX Spark Plugs for Turbo/NOS engines"

Hey, I have been using ZEX spark plugs for about 3 months now and was wondering if anyone else has used them? I have had bad luck with them and the quality, because I have normal engine detonation but keep fouling them out or breaking electrodes off... Anyone have a spark plug suggestion? NGK?

What exactly do you mean by "normal engine detonation" and how do you know (if you can hear it, its not normal).

Since I cant use photopoint IMAGINE THIS:
Star turbo with E-trim and HKS BOV
Starion FMIC/2.5" piping
Joe P MBC
Apexi SuperAFC
Ross Pistons/total seal rings
Ported and matched intake manifold
AFX 55mm TB, FMM and UDP
2.5" downpipe back exh/Hayame muffler
Crane wires/Denso Iridium plugs
Centerforce DF clutch
KYB AGX struts/ST springs, UPR FSB, F&R camber kits
17" ADR lightnings/toyo FZ4 215/45/17
97' eclipse front end/projectors
Autometer gauges
Panasonic head unit/ Sony X-over
MB Quarts all around/JL stealth sub
Hifonics/MTX Thunder amps
XX brand alarm/Varad hyper green led

Well this ones easy since you have a Hahn kit. If you have the DFI ect tune correctly you shouldn't have a problem but the fact that you are breaking sparkplugs and not hurting your engine leads me to believe they are sh*tty sparkplugs. Be careful those sparkplug pieces can tear up your engine (had a scare myself) The logical thing to do is change sparkplugs immediately. If there is a pattern of breaking X brand sparkplug its not wise at all to put it back in again and again. Lastly the best thing you can probably do is call Hahn for advice. BTW if your not breaking engine parts, cant hear any knocking, aren't loosing anypower from PCM timing retard and have proper EGTs and AF ratios you either A) dont have a problem or B) got me lost. Too rich can drive up temps too.

Brad, your car looks tiiight! As for plugs, I'd recommend just sticking to something that works and is reliable--NGK's.

i'd say a safe bet would be the NGK's. it's okay to experiment w/others like the ZEX, but just like Stan said if they are breaking then obviously they aren't ones you want to stick with. btw, that front end looks familiar (stillen)....wait,,it's mine too. it used to be so awesome cuz i was the only person in WA i ever saw with it after i special ordered it but like 2 weeks ago some dude was rolling w/it. kinda pissed me off (enjoyed being distinguishable), seems like alot of people are going w/it now. i still think it's the best looking though obviously you too! nice car.
