I have a hahn s20g, with an internal WG, the spring should be a 15 psi spring.. ive been playing around, and tuning, today i got on it, and it boosted to 23 psi, since i had overboost protection on, it cut my fuel etc.. what could be causing an over boost? i dont have a b/c of any kind in line yet.

hmm, so my turbo wg is either broken, or im flowing more then the WG can handle, or wg is bleeding boost, not opening all the way while the compressor continues to build boost?. is that what im comprehending?

vac line setup goes as:

From vac manifold (all vac lines come from here) > to Profec B silinoid (not hooked up electronically) then other port of EBC silinoid to Internal WG nipple

I have this same problem. Make sure it is installed to the Greddy Profec boost controller correctly, if is not it will not regulate pressure and will let you boost past capacity.

I dont have the silinoid hooked up.. so its not that. I checked one of the spare ones i had lying around to get an idea of how it worked, and sure enuf, add some air to the line arm extends. i try it on the one in question, and no arm extends, i hear lots of air. I opend it up, and it looks like the diaphragm may be torn, its not all the way thru, but the silicone is torn, the mesh like material on the back side is not. or forgin materiel is preventing a good seal.

It is a hahn adjustable waste gate.
