This is quoted from Eclipse550HP in another post...

>What I did was I got
>some Krylon flat white spray
>paint and Krylon florescent yellow.

So what exact color came out? Was it like a white yellow pearl? If so I'd paint mine white and the factory green to have a nice mix... hmmmm, I wonder if that's possible. Also, is there a way to get the same factory green color of my car in a spray paint, in other words, is there a universal code for the color and can i order that same color paint from somewhere?

Thanks for any help...
Damien

Hey man whats up? ok now for the paint, The yellow is a tint that must be painted over white to get the bright yellow color. If you paint it say over tan you will have a tan part with a yellow tint. It came out bright yellow and looks killer!. As for the flat white it is a primer and a base coat. If you have any thing you would like to know just ask. Thanks for asking for my help dude.

Oh yeah!!! I would get some factory paint and mix it with a thinner so its a tinted clear coat and spary that over white. You will need a spary gun to do this so thats the tricky part.

The thinner mix sounds hot!! What ratio paint to thinner though? Also, how much to spray guns cost?

Thanks again
Damien

Paint guns can go from 20 bucks to 1,000 bucks. As for the thinner I can't realy say because it depends on what type of paint you get and all that good stuff. I will take a look at the factory PPG paints and see what would be a good mix. If you want take a look at--- www.houseofkolor.com ---

Most show cars use there paint and they have a lot of realy cool shit to look at so have fun man.

Well, I just looked at houseofkolor.com and I see they have only custom colors, I want to find the factory green (I THINK it's called Cypress Green Pearl) and I'm not sure where to get it.

Thanks again HP

Ok for the factory paint I would call the dealership they can get it for ya but there hight on prices. So the next plan would be to call your lacal auto body supply place and they can get it for ya. The paint code is on a sticker on the right side of the firewall.
