It seems that it is very common for the factory power door locks to fail on our cars. I couldn't find any repair info on the internet which was specific to our cars. However, some Toyota sites gave me ideas and I figured the rest out. I just uploaded a Wiki about repairing the door lock actuators:

Swap a new motor into the housing and they work like new. Motors are super cheap as well. I've done four so far with good success.
